I have always liked going to sauna...

That’s why I was highly motivated from the outset to push myself and go above and beyond. It seemed that the person behind Saunatrip was on the same page.

We quickly got on the same wavelength during our first meeting and spent a good few hours bouncing ideas and possibilities around. The guy had really thought things through, and that makes the work so much easier.

What did Saunatrip want then?

  • They needed to show off his saunas
  • They needed a comfy way to book saunas
  • During the booking process they needed to do some cross selling for products that are necessary for the best saunaevening
  • Separate page and flow for B2B clients

So I begun...

With a clear picture in my head, I quickly put together the initial homepage prototype. This included choosing the colors, fonts, and overall visual language. When I presented the work, it was clear that the common ground between us wasn’t just my imagination. Everything clicked, and I could move on to the details, create the remaining views, and design the mobile version.

At the next meeting, I went into more detail about the animations and functionality, explaining how I thought they could work.

One funny thing was that, feeling comfortable with the design, I also wrote slightly more detailed placeholder copy throughout the site. I didn’t take it too seriously and threw in quite a bit of humor. The client, however, liked the copy so much that a lot of it ended up being used in the final version.
